And I fly for free.
Seriously though. File Charges. Get something on the record. If you file charges, they have to take action.
I have several "options" available for young Mr. Kevin if you like reason!!!!
Well, reason, as I said, I don't know the ins and outs of P&C. But having spent many years doing life, health and disability, I must quote a disability insurance sales rep:
"Insurance companies are not in the business to pay claims. They're in the business to collect premium."
Driving without insurance is actionable, right? I'm curious to know where you filed charges and what they are.
And I'm thinking that if you want to post Kevin's address, trav, Jumper and assorted weapons might make Kevin change his mind about the entire incident.

I'm not exactly sure of the exact apartment where he lives, but I found his car parked on Devil's Den in the Gettysburg apartment complex.
Too much to talk about right now (I spent the last three hours in Newport and Ft. Thomas), but I did stop off at the Gettysburg leasing office, and 1) they couldn't divulge information about the tenant, 2) they do recognize the name, 3) they have a lot of Old Coney employees living there, and 4) they took a message to give to him.
Having done (all) the legwork, the Newport police seem more willing to follow up and find Kevin. I'm sure Gettysburg will be more forthcoming, as was the insurance company when a Newport officer gave them a call when I visited earlier today.
I think the odds are still much against me, but I think I made a lot of progress today.
I just wish they'd call Old Coney and get the address from them. We know he works there.

About filing charges...
"No insurance" charges are useless unless they can be issued directly in Kentucky by an Officer of the Law. If Kevin leaves, any summons is pretty much useless and he doesn't have to show.
I filed in the Campbell County Attorney's Office near Thriftway in Newport. It's on hold until I get a specific local address. Fortunately, the Newport Police Chief is in on it, and it seems he's willing to investigate further.
About no fault states like Kentucky...
Unless an officer witnesses the accident, he doesn't issue a citation. This left me speechless. I mean this was a no brainer accident I was in, so I was incredulous that no citation was issued.
About that fax:
It confirmed that Kevin has no coverage.

Man this place has been around for a while, I remember that accident from 3.5 years ago...
Despite the no-fault car accident laws, seems like the police would be interested in someone that presented false evidence and lied to an officer.

I've never seen a bunch of more apathetic people than the police.
It's one thing that the officer took no local information from a guy who openly admitted he was in town only for the summer. But to let it slide is inexcusable after I specifically expressed discomfort at the scene of the accident over not having such information.
The conversation I had with the officer a couple nights ago was downright disconcerting. What mattered to him is that he merely took down information; not that the information was useful or helpful in actually enforcing the law.
In a nutshell, the Newport police officer enabled criminal activity. After my conversation with him I would say he actually encouraged it.

I decided this morning I no longer like driving.
First, it's 6:30am, and I'm on I-75 north behind 5 cars in the passing lane. The first vehicle in this line is a minivan who figured the passing lane is his own personal lane. As car after car proceeded to pass around the van, he kept his position firm.
When it became clear this guy wasn't going to exit left at the Galbraith Road and that he was merely a rude driver, I decided to make a pass around to the right (making all the proper signals, etc).
Unbelievably, as I get even with the guy he speeds up! What a fucking dickhead.
Then I exit from I-75 north to I-275 west. The lane to my right is the exit only lane to 741, and cars are backed up about a quarter mile. In that lane and immediately to my right is a huge ass semi. As I see him quickly approaching the line of stopped cars, I notice he's not slowing down. It got to the point that the semi was either going to crash into the line of cars - or swerve into me.
I pressed on the gas, and moved ahead of the semi just-in-time.
I mean it couldn't been a matter of 10 feet for this guy - or a second or two - that he had a chance to swerve into my lane and miss what would have been an accident the kind that makes the local news.
I sat down at my desk - it's only 7am, and I'm thinking, "I've had it."
Move me to a small town where I can walk to everything.

Go through that on two wheels with nothing between you and the truck but air.
